This concert will be a celebration honoring 2 beloved music educators – Marcellus Brown, director of bands at Boise State University, and Jim Perkins, band director emeritus at Borah High School. The concert will feature the newly formed by Jeff Cates the TVCB woodwind quintet, the Glory Brass a brass quartet lead by Brad Marshall and concluding with the Treasure Valley Concert Band directed by Marcellus Brown. The band will be performing 2 pieces commissioned to honor Marcellus and Jim as well as an original composition by Melvin Shelton, director of bands emeritus at Boise State Universuity.

Join us on Monday May 8th at 7:00 PM at Borah High auditorium celebrating with the variety of colors of a woodwind quintet, the sonority of a brass quartet, and the musical power of the Treasure Valley Concert band.
